My name is Justin Ference. I'm 14 years old and this is my 5th year in 4-H. My steer Drake is a Charolais cross. He was born on April 4, 2020. His starting weight in November was 680 pounds and ending weight in May is 1370 pounds. Drake achieved an excellent rate of gain of 3.450 pounds per day this year. Drake is well halter broke and loves to be combed. Drake is a great steer who I worked hard with this year and he is a nice tan colour. He was on an excellent corn silage and barley ration. I have enjoyed my time working with Drake and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year. I would like to thank all of my previous buyers that have supported me through 4-H. Important Information
The Bon Accord 4-H Club as well as GD Auctions and Appraisals thank you for considering the purchase of one of these fantastic beef steers. All the members have worked hard to produce a superb crop of finished beef.
Weights of steers were taken on May 15th, 2021 and are booked at Country Quality Meats for May 27th, 2021. Buyers are responsible for cut and wrap fees.
Bids are taken on a per pound basis in increments of $0.05.
Example: Steer Weight X Bid Price = Sale Price
1200 Lbs x $2.00 Per Lbs = $2,400
If you wish to purchase a steer at the sale strictly for promotional purposes and do not wish to retain the beef, we will handle delivery of the animal to VJV in Westlock for resale on May 28th.
