1 Used Rotary Powder Sifter
How do rotary sifters work?
Rotary sifters use centrifugal force in order to push dry powders through a static screen. Rotating at high speed, the oversize materials are trapped inside of the cylindrical element while the desired material passes through the mesh, allowing the end material to be contamination free. The rotary screening function allows for materials such as bulk powders to be separated into two fractions in one operation.
A paddle assembly rotates at high speed inside a stationary cylindrical screen, causing the material to be passed through the static screen by centrifugal action. Any oversize particles stay within the screen and are moved along the screen basket by paddle blades towards the oversize outlet located at the end of the screen basket.
What are rotary screeners used for?
The main function of a rotary screening machine is to remove oversize contamination or breakdown lumps in dry powder products. This makes a rotary screener ideal for pre-screening ingredients usually after a silo, removing contamination from dry powders.
