Multivac model R1700 intermittant motion thermoformer / sealer, serial number 7699/111, film is unwound onto gripper chains, then drawn into the forming area, then pre-heated and die formed into the desired shape, then advances to the open 56" long fill zone, were a variety of fillers (depending on customers needs) can be mounted, it then progresses under the lid film applicator were air is evacuated and gas can be injected, lid film is heat sealed and continues under the coding area, machine has a motorized coding track for the mounting of ink-jet coders, then packs are cut apart across the machine first then longitudinal last, all packs are discharged onto a 18' by 28" discharge belt, the machine can be adjusted and dies purchased to run a variety of sizes but was last running a three lane operation for packs that were 5" by 5" cover with a 4" diameter by 1 1/2" deep round pouch, no dies included.
