TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NOTICE: All Bidders agree that they have read and fully understand these terms and agree to be bound thereby.

1.      REGISTRATION: Buyers must register online prior to bidding at this auction sale. A valid credit card is required; we accept Visa, MasterCard. All bidders must provide company name (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number and email address. By registering you represent and warrant that any and all Buyer information is correct. Auction Company reserves the right to deny any registered bidder at any time at its sole discretion without notification.

All sales are in $US 

2. INSPECTION: Bidders may inspect the equipment Monday October 31, 2016 

This is a multi-site auction so please inquire on each items and its location. 

3. INVOICES: Bidders will be sent an electronic invoice to the email address provided during registration. Invoices can be faxed upon request.

 4. PAYMENT: Auction Company must receive all payments by 4:00 PM (EST) on .  Wire transfer made out to  Steep Hill Equipment Solutions Inc . All USA customer are required to pay by wire tranfer.  Please email blarsen@steephill.ca or paula@steephill.ca for wire form and shipping quote.

 It is the responsibility of USA companies to have all their customs papers in order.  

5. TIME OF REMOVAL: Removal will begin on Friday April 04 (10am-3pm) and end on Friday April 11 (8 am-3pm) No goods will be released to the purchaser until the entire bill is paid for in full. You can bring a bank draft to pick-up or Visa. Hours for removal are from 8:30 AM to  4:00 PM. Please schedule an appointment by email. USA purchasers please inquire about wire tranfer information.If you equipment is stored past April 14 there will be a weekly storage fee.

6. MANNER OF REMOVAL: Buyers must remove the merchandise from the premises at their own risk, expense and liability. Purchases can be removed only upon presentation of original paid bill. Auction Company is not responsible for items that are not removed within the time specified and has the option of dumping, storing or re-selling any item purchased at the expense and risk of the Buyer. We will have a forklift on site to assist with removal, however larger items are required to have a professional rigging team to move.  

7. NON-PAYMENT: If the buyer does not follow through after winning a lot - a 50% of the winning bid will be charged to your credit card.

8. CONDITION OF ITEMS SOLD: Auction Company is not responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness of, or defects in any lot and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance will be made or sale set aside on account of any incorrectness, error in cataloging or any imperfection not noted. No deduction will be allowed on damaged articles as all goods are exposed for public exhibition and are sold "AS IS" and without recourse. It is for this reason that all Buyers should avail themselves of the opportunity to make inspection prior to sale.

9. CLAIMS: Auction Company will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Auction Company or anyone else if the internet service fails to work correctly during the online auction.

10. INDEMNIFICATION: Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Auction Company and Seller from and against all claims and liabilities relating to the condition or use of the articles purchased or failure of user to follow instructions, warnings or recommendations of the manufacturer.

11. BUYER’S PREMIUM:  A 18% Buyer’s Premium (15%+3% online auction fee) will be added to all purchases. If you choose to pay with Credit Card a 4% charge will apply. 

12. SALES TAX: Buyer shall pay applicable sales or use taxes imposed by taxing authorities unless Buyer presents a resale certificate exempting the Buyer from the payment of any such sales and use taxes. For BC companies you must present PST exemption form or PST number.

13. RIGGING: Removal and rigging to be at buyer’s own expense, risk and liability. A certificate of insurance for $1,000,000.00 naming Steep Hill Equipment Solutions Inc. and Seller as additional insured entities must be presented to the Auction Company for all heavy rigging requiring the use of forklifts, cranes, etc., whether performed by the customer or a rigging company. The auctioneer has the right to reduce or eliminate these requirements at his sole discretion.  You will see our rigging fees to be resonsible.
