Please read all posted terms and conditions carefully for each auction and keep in mind you must meet the stated criteria set forth by the auction house to be approved to bid. If you have not been approved to bid, PLEASE contact the auction house conducting the auction directly! Their contact info is listed on each inventory and event details page for their auctions.

             Preview Inventory

Before the actual auction, the auction house lists all items in their catalog on the BidSpotter site (Inventory may be posted between one day and 2 months before the auction day. Always check back often to see if new inventory has been added to the auction that interests you!).

To view the event details and catalog for an auction you hold interest in, click on the name of the auction from the BidSpotter.com Live Internet Auction Broadcast calendar listings or from the category view.

Simply click the "Preview Inventory" link on the Event Details page to preview posted inventory. If inventory has not been transferred to BidSpotter.com, "Inventory not yet posted to the BidSpotter.com system", will show. We post auction inventory once the auction house transfers it to our servers.

Each catalog may contain several lots. Internet bidders can then browse the auction catalogs, 100 items at a time.

              Place Absentee Bids

Before the event, all Bidders registered and approved for an auction can place absentee bids on any catalogued lot in the auction when absentee bidding is offered.

Placing a bid is simple: From the Item Details page simply enter your maximum bid in the "Enter Bid Amount" box and click

. If this button is not showing, absentee/proxy bidding is disabled. Enter your user name and password.  Verify the item you are bidding on is correct (description will be shown near the top of the page). Verify the amount is correct (you will see your bid amount as well as the Buyers Premium).  Enter your user name and password and click "SUBMIT". Your bid will be managed by the auction house or a BidSpotter.com representative.

              Bid LIVE!

You will see the bidding activity on your computer screen and if you wish to bid the auctioneer's "ask" amount, simply click the White Bid Bar located directly above the image of the lot being sold on the black side of your Real time Bidding Interface! You may also place absentee bids on items coming up on the right side of the Real Time Bidding Interface. If you do not see the White Bid Bar while an item is actively being auctioned, you have not yet been approved to participate in the auction and should contact the auction house conducting the auction.

              Payment/Shipping

After the event, the auction house clerking and BidSpotter.com system clerking are reconciled to ensure correct winner information. During this time, the auction will not be shown on the BidSpotter.com site. You will receive an e-mail confirming any items/lots won. All payment for items won is handled by the auction house conducting the auction directly and not by BidSpotter.com. You may then arrange shipment of your items from the auction location (or wherever the items you purchased are stored). Some auction houses offer shipping and others do not. It is always the responsibility of the winning bidder to make sure arrangements are made. Contact the auction house conducting the auction for further shipping/rigger information.

That's it. Come join the world of Live Internet Auctions!
