BidSpotter Live Audio

How it works.

When I click on the Listen Live button NOTHING happens.

The Audio window opens but I don't hear anything and yes I already checked that my speakers are plugged in and the volume is up.

I am not sure if I have Flash on my computer, but meet minimum system requirements.

Internet audio streaming is a way for us to enable you to listen to an auctioneer call an auction, make important announcements and pace the speed of an auction broadcast. We have tested many different technologies and have found the most stable, low latency tool on the market.

On auction day you will log into the bidder applet. Look on the left side of the bidder interface (Figure A) and locate the "Listen Live" button.
Once the audio has been started for the auction you will see the button. This button will not appear until the auction audio has been started and the auctioneer turns on the microphone.

Once the auctioneer has turned on the microphone you will then be able to click on the Listen Live button. Doing so will cause the BidSpotter Live Audio window (Figure B) to "Pop Up". The Audio will play through this window, therefore this window must remain open in order to hear the audio.

Troubleshooting Audio Issues

While the Audio is not a necessary part of your participation in the Live Auction,
we do believe it is a very useful tool.

Here are some of the most common issues that will prevent you from hearing the audio.

When I click on the Listen Live button NOTHING happens.

If you click on the listen live button and no window opens, or if it appears that a window tries to open but then goes away you most likely have a popup blocker or some sort of Internet Monitor running on your computer that is preventing you from opening the audio window.
The audio window acts exactly like those annoying pop up ads. Only this is a popup you want to appear. You will need to disable the program that is preventing this window from appearing. Popup blockers, Spam blockers and personal firewalls such as ZoneAlarm are just a few of the many types of programs that can prevent this window from opening. Some ISPs that provide custom software for you to install and use on your computer have started to include these types of programs in their software. If you have installed the provided software from your ISP you may not even be aware that you have these types of programs installed. If the BidSpotter Live Audio does not open, more than likely the cause is third party popup blocking software. Please disable!

The Audio window opens but I don't hear anything and yes I already checked that my speakers are plugged in and the volume is up.

If your speakers are plugged in and the volume has already been checked (you will want to make sure that the WAVE volume is not muted) and you see the BidSpotter.com Live Audio window but you hear nothing

You may need to check your computer's compatibility with Flash. Please refer to the following table:

To listen to the auctioneer call the auction (on broadcasts offering this benefit), you must install Flash on your computer. If it is not installed, you cannot listen to the auctioneer as the sale progresses. If you see this:

you must click "Yes" to install the Flash software to enable auctioneer audio.
